Our client is a U.S.-based leader in technology-enabled litigation support services, offering a full suite of legal solutions including court reporting, medical record retrieval, legal videography, process serving, registered agent services, and legal talent outsourcing. With operations spread across multiple states, the company relies on dependable, technology-backed systems to ensure timely, compliant, and secure delivery of services to its clients in the legal, insurance, and corporate sectors.
The client’s compliance management platform- responsible for handling registered agent services, corporate filings, and licensing requests across all 50 U.S. states, was built on Classic ASP, an outdated and unsupported technology. The legacy system lacked structure, documentation, and scalability, making it increasingly difficult to maintain and expand as business demand grew.
Workflows for managing new entity registrations and compliance filings were only partially automated. Employees had to manually validate client data, upload documents, and assign tasks across departments. Clients themselves had no digital channel to initiate or track requests, forcing teams to rely on emails and spreadsheets for communication.
Adding to the inefficiency, deployments and infrastructure provisioning were handled manually, often resulting in release delays and inconsistent configurations between development, testing, and production environments. Each setup required manual steps, making it difficult to maintain uniformity or trace issues across versions.
We re-architected the client’s compliance and legal management platform, moving it from a legacy Classic ASP setup to a modern .NET and React-based framework. The goal was to create a scalable, cloud-ready system capable of handling high transaction volumes, enabling modular feature development, and improving overall maintainability and release speed.
The manual intake and validation steps that previously relied on emails and offline approvals were redesigned into a fully automated digital workflow. Each submission, from entity registration to license renewal, was now captured through structured online forms, validated through business rules, and routed automatically to the relevant compliance or licensing teams.
Every client request now followed a standardized rule-based path. Validation checks were executed automatically against entity data and jurisdictional requirements. Missing information triggered system alerts, while completed submissions moved through dynamic approval workflows. Built-in audit trails and status tracking improved visibility and accountability across departments.
A role-based client portal was developed to streamline communication and service intake. Corporate clients, legal teams, and administrators could now submit requests, upload documents, and monitor progress in real time. User access and permissions were defined at multiple levels to ensure data segregation and compliance with internal governance and regulatory policies.
We set up Azure DevOps pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment cycles, replacing manual deployment steps with a standardized CI/CD process. Infrastructure provisioning was automated using Terraform, ensuring identical environment configurations across development, QA, and production. Azure Key Vault was integrated to securely store credentials and eliminate hardcoded secrets from the codebase.
We embedded automated regression and functional testing into each sprint using Playwright and TestRail, while Veracode and Burp Suite were used for security testing. This integration ensured that every release was stable, compliant, and ready for production without manual testing overhead.
