Our client is a fast-growing healthcare technology provider in the U.S., delivering clinically led obesity care through a HIPAA-compliant digital platform. Since its launch, the platform has scaled to serve over 1 million registered users, with 1,000 daily active mobile users engaging in consultations, prescriptions, and progress tracking. Each day, the system processes thousands of health data points from wearables, remote patient monitoring (RPM) devices, and EHR integrations, offering providers a real-time view of treatment effectiveness and patient progress.
As business scaled, the client’s web-only platform lacked a unified analytics backbone. Reporting was manual and Excel-based, limiting granularity, timeliness, and accuracy at both patient and organizational levels. Critical patient and operational data sat fragmented across Salesforce for onboarding, AthenaOne for EHR and biomarker data, and RPM devices for real-time monitoring; creating mismatches that undermined a single source of truth.
Without well-defined KPIs or personalized reporting, providers lacked the ability to consistently track treatment effectiveness, while patients experienced disjointed engagement journeys. Executives had little clarity into adherence trends, drug usage patterns, and overall platform performance. This limited not just patient outcomes but also the client’s ability to validate program impact for its B2B partners.
They needed to build an integrated analytics foundation that was capable of unifying data, define meaningful health metrics, and deliver actionable insights across all stakeholders.
Defined baseline KPIs and patient health metrics
We performed a what-if analysis using TAPE to resolve baseline inconsistencies in capturing patient weight. We defined baselines for the health KPIs, such as % weight loss, fat percentage improvement, and app usage frequency, for consistent progress tracking across provider and patient journeys.
Built seamless data pipelines and optimized the platform’s data model
We set up custom pipelines to integrate data across Salesforce, EHR (AthenaOne) and mobile app usage. Reconciliation analysis identified mismatches and quality issues, resolving inconsistencies across platforms. The optimized model consolidated 90% of patient and operational data in one framework, ensuring accuracy and reducing duplication.
Developed DOMO dashboards and patient-provider reporting
We delivered 20+ executive-ready dashboards using DOMO, a cloud-based platform for real-time data visualization and insights. The goal was to provide stakeholders and executives with clear, actionable metrics, spanning onboarding trends, therapy adherence, provider productivity, and schedule optimization. For patients, we developed user-friendly progress reports; for providers, treatment monitoring dashboards with drill-down capabilities. Executives gained cohort-level insights to view app engagement trends and identify effective intervention strategies.
Enabled biomarker analysis for holistic health evaluation
We enhanced visibility beyond weight by statistically analyzing physiological indicators such as BP, glucose, and oxygen levels. By filtering anomalies from self-declared metrics and wearables, providers received a purified view of biomarker trends, making treatment plans more evidence-driven.
